January 1 – New Year’s Day – All City offices and services closed – Wednesday trash will be picked up on Thursday

Week of March 16 – Cemetery Clean-up – anyone wishing to save decorations should remove them before this date

March 15 – St Patrick’s Day Parade 1:00pm – Main Street – Corned Beef & Cabbage Meal at the Fire Station following the parade

April 4 – Easter Egg Hunt 1:00pm – James Knox Park – CANCELLED for 2020

April 10 – Good Friday – All City offices and services closed

Week of April 20 – Citywide spring clean up on residents’ regular trash day – POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2020

May 1 – Dog & Cat Tags go on sale at City Hall – due by May 31 — NOTE CHANGE – Tags will go on sale when City Hall reopens June 2 — due by July 1.

May 25 – Memorial Day – All City offices and services closed

May 25 – Memorial Day Bicycle Parade 8:30 am behind Old Courthouse — CANCELLED for 2020

June 1 – Wheel Tax Stickers go on sale at City Hall

June 3, 10, 17, 24 – Summer Band Concerts at Central Park – 7:00p – bring a lawn chair – area churches will have an ice cream social at each concert

June 12-13 – Citywide Yard Sales – start at 8:00am – set up in own yard – contact City Hall to add your sale to the list – lists will be available to the public the week of the sale ** The City will not be coordinating a citywide yard sale for 2020.

July 4 – Fireworks at dusk – James Knox Park (rain date July 5) – Band Concert at 7:30 – CANCELLED FOR 2020

July 8, 15, 22, 29 – Praise in the Park Music Series – Old Courthouse Lawn – 6:30pm – bring a lawn chair CANCELLED FOR 2020

August 22 – 15th Annual Car Cruise – Public Square 4:00-7:00 CANCELLED FOR 2020

September 7 – Labor Day – All City offices and services closed

October 2 – Knoxville High School Homecoming Parade 2:00 & Football Game

October 31 – Trick or Treat 6:00p-8:00p

November 26 – Thanksgiving – All City offices and services closed

November 27 – Friday after Thanksgiving – City Hall closed – all other City services open all day

December 5 – Knoxville Christmas Parade – 1:00 (to enter parade contact City Hall 309-289-2814)  Santa will be at Hurd’s Fellowship Center after the parade to greet children.  Luminaries at dusk around the town square.

December 24 – All City Offices and services closing at 12:00 noon.
