Billing Questions & Information
Bills are mailed monthly. Included with the monthly water usage bill are charges for refuse, sanitary sewer service and sewer capital improvements. The sanitary sewer charge is based on water consumption and rates are set by the City Council.

Failure to receive a bill does not relieve customer of payment or penalty. A penalty of 10% will be added if the bill is not paid by the due date printed on the bill.
DUE DATES/CYCLES:
There are two water-billing cycles which consist of East and West in the City of Knoxville. Each cycle is billed water, sewer, sewer capital improvement and refuse on a monthly basis. The East cycle is billed the 20th of every month with a due date of the 10th (if the 10th falls on a weekend, the bill will be due the next business day). The West cycle is billed the 5th of every month with a due date of the 25th (if the 25th falls on a weekend, the bill will be due the next business day).
