January 3 – New Year’s Day Observance- All City offices and services closed

Week of March 14 – Cemetery Clean-up – anyone wishing to save decorations should remove them before this date

March TBA – TENTATIVE – St Patrick’s Day Parade 1:00pm – Main Street – Corned Beef & Cabbage Meal at the Fire Station following the parade

April TBA – TENTATIVE – Easter Egg Hunt 1:00 pm – James Knox Park

April 15 – Good Friday – All City offices and services closed

TBA – Citywide spring clean up on residents’ regular trash day – see City Hall for list of exceptions.

May 1 – Dog & Cat Tags go on sale at City Hall – due by May 31

May 30 – Memorial Day – All City offices and services closed

May 30 – TENTATIVE – Memorial Day Bicycle Parade 8:30 AM behind Old Courthouse

June 1 – Wheel Tax Stickers go on sale at City Hall

June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 – Summer Band Concerts at Central Park – 7:00 PM – bring a lawn chair – area churches will have an ice cream social at each concert.

June TBA – Citywide Yard Sales – start at 8:00 am – set up in own yard – contact City Hall to add your sale to the list – lists will be available to the public the week of the sale.

July 4 – Fireworks at dusk – James Knox Park (rain date July 5)

July 6, 13, 20, 27 –  TENTATIVE – Praise in the Park Music Series – Old Courthouse Lawn – 6:30 pm – bring a lawn chair

August 27 – 15th Annual Car Cruise – Public Square 4:00-7:00

September 5 – Labor Day – All City offices and services closed

TBA – Knoxville High School Homecoming Parade 2:00 & Football Game

Oct 1-2 and 8-9 – Knox County Scenic Drive – see www.knoxcountyscenicdrive.com for details

October 31 – Trick or Treat 6:00p-8:00p

November 24 – Thanksgiving – All City offices and services closed

November 25 – Friday after Thanksgiving – City Hall closed – all other City services open all day

December 3 – Knoxville Christmas Parade – 1:00 pm (to enter parade contact City Hall 309-289-2814) Luminaries at dusk around the town square.

December 23 – All City Offices and services closing at 12:00 noon.

December 26 – All City Offices and services closed
